RING BUOYS
When is the last time you have seen ring buoys in the marine store? These old dependable buoys are really better for man-overboard situations as you can toss the ring buoy even against the wind and have a reasonable chance of having it land next to the victim. They are easier for the swimmer to place around his body, and they will keep him afloat forever. The shell of these buoys are made of high-density polyethylene that is UV stabilized. The filling is closed cell foam that will not absorb water if the shell is punctured. It comes with a polypropylene throw line. Available in three sizes, 20", 24" and 30" diameter, in either white or orange. Available also are aluminum 3-point or stainless steel single mount brackets, and a throw line bag that keeps your line stowed but ready to throw when needed. The bag is weather resistant and can be hung with the ring buoy.
